TestWorks Group Sensors and Monitoring Systems

TestWorks Group offers a range of advanced sensors and monitoring systems, all of which can be remotely monitored using the Rail Sense monitoring and control hub. Using this system, it is also possible issue remote controls to various devices.

Accelerometers

Compact, low-power units which can measure 3-axis movement and transmit using Bluetooth or other low power radio. In the RailSense VM1, this technology is also used for wake-up sensing on the approach of each train and can be used to monitor shock and vibration on the rail, for example if a wheel flat were present or excessive shock was being experienced at a switch or crossing.

Temperature

Temperature sensing with a typical range of -40C to +125C – heaters can be controlled as part of an integrated system if required.

Remote monitoring/GPS tracking

TestWorks Group designs and manufactures low-power GPS trackers for multiple applications including property protection (e.g. plant, machinery and storage cabinets), where the tracker will wake up when any movement is detected, preserving battery power. Again, control systems, for example power control or power isolation, can be incorporated into this type of custom designed device.

Remote Communications Hub and Solar Charging Battery Management

Remote Wi-Fi access point which also controls solar charging and cycling of a set of three large lead acid batteries and could form the basis for an un-powered control and monitoring system.

Level sensing

Solid state level sensing for a range of fluids including acids, with sensor lengths up to 2.1m and a resolution of 5mm. Suitable for food, medical, chemical and automotive applications.

Light and Camera Systems

Remote monitoring of light and colour levels using either discrete sensors or specific camera systems.  Response behaviour can be customised to any particular requirements.

Pressure

Continuous monitoring and the ability to control pressures as required, either remotely or using an AI algorithm.
